A fresh character trailer has been unveiled for the upcoming Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show TV anime series, highlighting the character Hastur. The series is set to start airing in Japan on July 1, 2025.

Masato Matsune (The Stories of Girls Who Couldn’t Be Magicians) is directing the original anime series, with Makoto Uezu (KonoSuba) providing the story draft and screenplay, Jiro Suzuki (Revenger co-original character designer, Umineko no Naku Koro ni: Episode 2: Turn of the golden witch manga artist) as the original character designer, Hiroshi Kosuga as character designer and chief animation director, and Evan Call (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End) composing the music. Studio Gokumi is handling the animation production, while Cygames is the producer of the series.
Meanwhile, the anime’s voice cast features:

Crunchyroll is set to stream Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show globally, outside of Japan. The main synopsis of the series reads:
Miko Kurono, also known as Necronomico, completes her middle school education and decides to chase her dream of becoming a streamer. One day, while with her childhood friend, Mayu Mayusaka, and her rival, Kanna Kagurazaka, she accepts an invitation to participate in a new VR game. This game allows Miko to face enigmatic challenges with other distinctive streamers she encounters in the VR realm.
