Observation Records of My Fiancée Anime Unveils Lead Voice Actors

The lead voice actors of the Observation Records of My Fiancée: The Misadventures of a Self-Proclaimed Villainess TV anime have been confirmed as Miyu Tomita and Yusuke Kobayashi. Tomita is portraying the main heroine Bertia, while Kobayashi takes on the role of her fiancé, Prince Cecil.

Stills from the first episode, which is set to premiere at some point in 2026, have also been unveiled.

Observation Records of My Fiancée: The Misadventures of a Self-Proclaimed Villainess ((Jisho Akuyaku Reijo na Konyakusha no Kansatsu Kiroku) is adapted from the light novel series authored by Shiki and illustrated by Wan Hachipisu. Hanashi Media outlines the storyline as follows:
Endowed with extraordinary gifts that often hinder him, Prince Cecil always perceived his life as remarkably uneventful. One unremarkable day, everything changed when he got engaged to Miss Bertia, the Chancellor’s daughter. This engagement, however, was far from ordinary.
“Prince Cecil! I need to confess – I am the villain of this tale!” Bertia’s proclamation was shocking. She asserted having recollections of a previous existence where she played the antagonist in an “Otome game.” Her grand aspiration was to thrive as a villainess, aiming to have her engagement dissolved. Observation Records of My Fiancée originated as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel. Two volumes of the light novels were published in 2017. Alphapolis brings out the series under the Regina Books label.

A sequel series named Jisho Akuyaku Reijo na Tsuma no Kansatsu Kiroku, along with manga adaptations of both, exists.
