Nobuyoshi Nagayama (Love Flops, Ayaka, Vampire Dormitory) is at the helm of the anime series, with Kazuya Ishiguri (Vampire Dormitory) serving as assistant director, Megumi Shimizu (Tomo-chan Is a Girl!) as series screenwriter, Akiko Yokota (Girlfriend, Girlfriend) as character designer, and Sayaka Takemoto (Beyblade X sub-character designer) as sub-character designer. Animation production is being managed by Studio Blanc.

The series originated as a web novel on Kakuyomu on October 6, 2017. It also inspired a 2018 manga adaptation by Tamura Muto, which has published four tankobon volumes as of February 2024.
