After perishing in a traffic accident, I find myself next to an unrecognizable lake. My body won’t budge, I can’t make a sound, and when I attempt to exclaim my confusion, words that I could never have predicted escape my lips!

I-it appears I’ve transformed into a vending machine…! I can only function as actual vending machines do. It’s unfeasible to move independently, and I can’t engage in any significant conversation—how on earth am I going to endure in some fantasy world’s dungeon like this?!
Reborn as a Vending Machine originated as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2016, followed by the Itsuwa Katou-illustrated light novel series launching later that same year. A total of three light novel volumes were published between 2016 and 2017.
A new edition featuring illustrations by Hagure Yuuki, who also serves as the character designer for the manga adaptation, began its publication in 2021. Both the previous and current editions are released under the KADOKAWA Sneaker Bunko label.
