Ⓒ吉河美希・講談社／カッコウの許嫁製作委員会2The forthcoming A Couple of Cuckoos Season 2 anime has unveiled a main trailer along with its premiere date of July 8 JST.
In addition to showcasing new scenes featuring protagonist Nagi Umino and the various heroines (including the new character Ai Mochizuki), the trailer highlights the recently announced opening song “Kimi ga Kureta Mono” performed by asmi.

A Couple of Cuckoos is adapted from the romantic comedy manga by Miki Yoshikawa, which began in 2020 in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine and has accumulated 27 tankoubon volumes as of April 2025. Kodansha USA describes the manga as:
16-year-old super-studier Nagi Umino, a second-year student at the Meguro River Academy high school, was switched at birth. On his way to a dinner to meet his birth parents, he accidentally encounters the bold and outspoken, Erika Amano, who is set on making Nagi her fake boyfriend as she has no intentions of truly marrying. However, once Nagi arrives at dinner, he discovers his parents have opted to resolve the hospital mix-up by conveniently arranging for him to marry the daughter raised by his birth parents… who turns out to be none other than Erika herself!
