The 9-nine- Ruler’s Crown anime has unveiled a trailer, along with the announcement of its July 2025 premiere window.
It was also revealed that the ending song is “Pale Blaze” by Chihiro Yonekura, and there will be an advance screening of the first two episodes on June 15 JST at Parthenon Tama. Additionally, more staff credits have been disclosed, including Fumiyuki Uehara (VAZZROCK THE ANIMATION co-chief animation director) as co-character designer.
9-nine- Ruler’s Crown is based on the PALETTE-developed visual novel series 9-nine-, which debuted on Japanese PC in 2017 before making its way to Steam in English in 2019. Steam describes 9-nine-: Episode 1 as:

9-nine- Episode 1 is the first volume in a series of supernatural mystery games, with Episode 1 focused on a story about Miyako Kujo. The entries in the 9-nine- series share the same setting and world, but each entry showcases a different heroine. 9-nine- narrates the tale of the town of Shiromitsugawa, host to enigmatic Artifacts and the superpowers they bestow on their Users. This story explores growing trust and blossoming romance between the protagonist and the heroine, along with a murder mystery where they pursue the culprit behind a series of supernatural murders. Each game presents an independent story that can be enjoyed separately. We hope you appreciate the experience that is the 9-nine- series.
The game’s all-ages edition was launched for Windows in Japan in 2021, and later for PS4 and Nintendo Switch in 2022. The anime features the same main cast as this version.
