Image source: Honkai: Star Rail YouTube channelHonkai: Star Rail has unveiled a trailer for its forthcoming Version 3.4 update titled “For the Sun is Set to Die,” featuring a segment showcasing the Fate franchise’s Saber and Archer (in case you missed it, these two are part of a Honkai: Star Rail x Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works collaboration that was initially teased in 2024). Lancer also makes a cameo.
Some gameplay footage of Saber is presented in the latter portion of the trailer.
Version 3.4 is set to launch on July 2, while the Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works collaboration narrative — Trailblaze Continuance “Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail” — and the “Fate/stay night” event will begin on July 11. The press release provides the following synopsis for Honkai: Star Rail’s Holy Grail War:
Recently, Trailblazer received a mysterious letter from Old Oti, head of the Alfalfa Family, inviting them to participate in a special entertainment program named “Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail War.” This Holy Grail War will occur in Penacony, where seven chosen participants will summon historical figures from Penacony as Servants to aid them in battle. Along with the Trailblazer, familiar names such as Aventurine, Mr. Boothill, and Miss Robin will also join as competitors. At the same time, three legendary Heroic Spirits will answer the Holy Grail’s summon: Saber, Archer, and Lancer. How will this spectacular and unpredictable “Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail War” play out? Who will establish contracts with whom? The Trailblazer can experience all these enigmas firsthand.

Saber and Archer will be introduced as 5-star characters, with Archer available as a login reward until the conclusion of Version 3.6. The Collaboration Warps for both characters will also be accessible for an extended period following their release.
