©板垣巴留（秋田書店）／SANDA製作委員会The Sanda TV anime has unveiled a second teaser trailer, announcing an October 3 JST Japanese broadcast premiere date. In addition, the anime will debut earlier at Anime Expo 2025 on July 4, featuring a panel with the manga’s creator Paru Itagaki, director Tomohisa Shimoyama, and producer Kohei Sakita.
Besides the premiere dates, new cast members have been revealed:
• Umeka Shoji as Shiori Fuyumura
• Anna Nagase as Ono
• Yuki Shin as Hitoshi Amaya
• Misato Matsuoka as Niko Kazao
Set in the near future, the story of Sanda follows a boy who faces threats from a classmate after the latter’s friend goes missing, while he discovers his ability to change into a well-built Santa Claus-like figure. The manga started serialization in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion in 2021, concluding with its 16th and final tankoubon volume released in October 2024.
