A new trailer has been unveiled for Mamoru Hosoda’s upcoming anime film Scarlet, which will also have IMAX screenings in Japan. The anime film is set to hit theaters in both regular and IMAX formats in Japan on November 21, 2025.
A fresh IMAX poster visual for the anime film was also made public.
Comic Natalie, Hosoda mentioned during the film’s announcement event that it is in “neither 2D nor a Hollywood-style CG animation” and will explore themes of life and death, incorporating elements of action and romance.
