© 荒川弘・新書館／『百姓貴族』製作委員会A fresh trailer and the artist for the ending theme song have been disclosed for the forthcoming third season of Hyakusho Kizoku—the short anime series about a farmer’s life, which is set to start airing in Japan on October 3, 2025. The latest trailer for the third season also showcases the new theme song “Kage ni Nari Hinata ni Nari” by pachae.
Yutaro Sawada (returning from seasons 1-2) is directing the third season and is also the scriptwriter. Ayane Matsumoto (Bocchi the Rock! Ending 3 animator) returns as character designer, animation director, and animator, while Spectrick composes the music and Ari is responsible for the background animation. Pie in the sky is once more overseeing the animation production for the short series. Meanwhile, the primary voice cast for the anime consists of:

- • Mariko Honda as Ishii
- • Shigeru Chiba as Oyaji-dono
- • Kujira as Okan
The inaugural season of the short anime series debuted in Japan from July 7, 2023, to September 22, 2023, comprising 12 total episodes. The second season premiered in Japan on October 4, 2024, and wrapped up with another 12 episodes on December 20, 2024. REMOW streamed the first season on the It’s Anime YouTube channel with various subtitle languages.
The anime derives from Hiromu Arakawa’s autobiographical farming essay manga, detailing her seven years spent working as a farmer in Hokkaido before establishing herself as a manga artist. It has been serialized in Shinshokan’s Wings magazine since July 28, 2009. It made its first appearance in Un Poco from December 28, 2006, to March 28, 2009, before the magazine ceased operations. The series is published under the Wings Comics label and has released eight tankobon volumes as of December 2023. The manga was made available digitally in English through the now-defunct JManga service in 2012.
