This article explores the relationship between France and Japan, which has been ongoing for over 150 years. The two countries have had a mutual influence on each other's culture, economy, and politics, with cultural exchange being an important factor in their relationship throughout history. Economic ties have been growing steadily since the end of World War II while they are also politically allied through a Mutual Defense Treaty.
