The former showcases various moments with Amane and Mahiru—walking hand-in-hand in the street, splashing each other in a pool, and attending a festival together—while the latter primarily focuses on Mahiru as she gazes out the window of a train.

A HEAVENLY ENCOUNTER! Mahiru is a stunning girl known as an “angel” by her classmates. Not only is she a top athlete with impeccable grades—she’s also incredibly attractive. Amane, a regular guy who admits his slovenly nature, has never really noticed her divine beauty, despite sharing the same school. Everything transforms when he spots Mahiru alone in a park during a rainstorm. Thus begins the peculiar relationship between this highly unlikely duo!

The light novel series, published under the GA Bunko label of SB Creative, commenced in 2019 and contains 11 core volumes as of March 2025. In the first volume, the current illustrator Hanekoto only illustrated the cover, while Hazano Watake contributed the other illustrations.
