A fresh story visual and a new voice drama episode, highlighting Zenos and the spirit Carmilla, have debuted for the ongoing The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows TV anime series. The anime launched in Japan on April 3, 2025, and is set to continue for 12 episodes.
The brief voice drama episode is called “Moonlit Rendezvous.”
Joe Yoshizaki (FLOW GLOW debut PV unit director, Goddess of Victory: Nikke “Miracle Snow” special video director) is at the helm of the anime, with Parkji-seung (animation director credits on shows like THE IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE!, Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun) assisting as director, Taika Miyagi handling the screenplay, and denpuougi along with Yoshihiro Sawada as character designers. Makaria is entrusted with the animation production for the series, where Yoshizaki also took on the role of president.
In the meantime, the anime’s principal voice cast features:

The series originated as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro on November 30, 2020, penned by Sakaku Hishikawa. It was subsequently published as a light novel by SB Creative on October 14, 2021, featuring new illustrations by Daburyu. Eight volumes have been released as of March 2025. J-Novel Club has licensed the light novels and manga adaptation for digital publication in English. A print version is also scheduled for release in August.
The manga adaptation by Junoichi first appeared in GA Comic on January 22, 2022. Four tankobon volumes have been published as of November 2024, with a fifth volume anticipated on June 15, 2025. It will also have a print release from J-Novel Club in July.
