It was also announced that the cast includes Rihito Itagaki as Hitoshi Tamaru and Tomoya Nakamura as Keisuke Yoshiki.
©︎武田一義・白泉社/2025「ペリリュー -楽園のゲルニカ-」製作委員会Peleliu -Rakuen no Guernica- is set during the Battle of Peleliu, which took place in 1944 as part of the Pacific Theater of World War II. The Hakusensha-published title by Kazuyoshi Takeda was serialized in Young Animal and has been collected into 11 main volumes, published between 2016 to 2021.
An anime adaptation was announced in 2021, but the movie format was only revealed in January 2025.
