Image source: Zenless Zone Zero YouTube channelHoYoverse’s Zenless Zone Zero has unveiled a new animated short named “For My Yixuan,” which explores the background of the forthcoming playable character Yixuan and her bond with her older sister, who plays a significant role in Yixuan’s narrative.
The sisterly connection is highlighted throughout the eight-minute animation, culminating in a scene where Yixuan gazes at sibling protagonists Wise and Belle with a smile, as they remind her of the Grandmaster and her sister.
“For My Yixuan” (produced by Studio Tumble in collaboration with Flintsugar, and with Studio Mindo providing animation support) further depicts Yixuan’s early existence as a street urchin and her journey into becoming part of the Yunkui Summit.
Yixuan is set to join Zenless Zone Zero as a component of the free-to-play “urban fantasy” action RPG’s 2.0 update “Where Clouds Embrace The Dawn,” launching on June 26, which will introduce the Waifei Peninsula. The S-Rank Agent possesses the Auric Ink Attribute and the Rupture Specialty, along with the Adrenaline mechanic and two Ultimates.

Additional new playable characters accompanying Yixuan in the update include Ju Fufu (S-Rank Fire Stun Agent), Pan Yinhu (A-Rank Physical Defense Agent), and Belion (S-Rank Bangboo). All characters are linked to the Yunkui Summit.
