A trailer for the opening theme of My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 has been unveiled, featuring the song spira spica‘s “Ao to Kirameki.”
The trailer showcases a Pocky scene created by Marin, additional shots of Marin dressed as a bunny girl, along with glimpses of new characters.

My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 is scheduled to debut this July. The anime is adapted from the manga by Shinichi Fukuda, which was published from January 2018 to March 2025 in Young Gangan. Square Enix characterizes the manga as:
After a traumatic childhood experience involving a friend who criticized his passion for traditional dolls, aspiring doll artisan Wakana Gojou spends his days alone, finding comfort in the home economics room at his high school. To Wakana, individuals like the beautiful Marin Kitagawa, a popular girl constantly surrounded by friends, feel like aliens from another dimension. But when lively Marin—undeterred by shyness—spots Wakana sewing one day after school, she confidently approaches him with plans to include her quiet classmate in her secret interest: cosplay! Can Wakana’s fragile heart withstand the arrival of this charming extraterrestrial?
Meanwhile, the synopsis for Season 2 states:
Marin Kitagawa and Wakana Gojo meet and grow closer through their shared interest in cosplay. There are countless cosplays they wish to attempt and numerous costumes they dream of creating. By engaging with their classmates and forging new friendships in the cosplay world, Marin and Wakana’s horizons broaden even further. The original content has also led to a “parallel spin-off comedy” manga entitled Kisekae Ningyo de chu, illustrated by Choboraunyopomi, as well as a live-action drama. The first season of the anime aired in 2022.
