New Saga TV Anime Unveils 2 Additional Cast Members & Main Theme Songs

Two new cast members and fresh main theme songs have been announced for the upcoming New Saga TV anime series. The series is set to premiere in Japan in July 2025, having been delayed from its initially scheduled debut in July 2023. The two additional cast members joining the series are Takehito ‌Koyasu as Ganias and Yoko ‌Hikasa as Yulriga.

At the same time, the opening theme song is “Enja” by ‌4s4ki, while the ending theme is “her” by Mahiru ‌Coda. 
Naoki Mizusawa is directing the anime series, with Naoki Horiuchi (The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash director) as series unit director, Kenta Ihara (Tomodachi Game) as series screenwriter, and SOIL&”PIMP”SESSIONS’ Shachou and Hironori Anazawa (Scarlet Nexus) as music composers. Sotsu is co-producing the animation production with Studio Clutch and assistance from STUDIO MASSKET. 
Previously, it was indicated that Norikazu Ishigouoka (Hortensia Saga assistant director) would direct the New Saga anime adaptation. Sotsu, Makaria, and Yokohama Animation Laboratory were initially credited for the animation production work. 
The anime is based on the Tsuyokute New Saga light novel series, authored by Masayuki Abe and illustrated by Ryuta Fuse. It was first published by AlphaPolis on April 8, 2013 and concluded on July 2, 2018. A total of 10 volumes were released during its run. A manga adaptation by Jun Miura was launched in 2014 and finished in 2022.
