Jūzō Ōgami is a renowned hitman who has always completed assignments, regardless of the odds. One day, after eradicating a formidable organization, he is stung by a mysterious wasp and faints. Upon awakening, the notorious 39-year-old killer has been turned into a 13-year-old boy! Before he can comprehend the situation, his employer gives him a new command: “In that body, blend into a middle school.”
What lies ahead is an unusual school life filled with vibrant classmates, youthful mayhem, and looming threats. Can Jūzō revert to his original self? Or will the assassins closing in on him cut short his second chance at life before it commences?
Chiba, recognized for his roles such as Kiyotaka Ayanokoji in Classroom of the Elite, Shinei Nozen in 86, Akihiko Nirei in Wind Breaker, and Taiki Inomata in Blue Box, takes on the role of Kazuma Rindou, a top-grade operative of JARDIN, the foremost assassin organization. Like Jūzō, Kazuma is delving into the mysteries of Mitsuoka Pharmaceuticals and holds the fearsome ability to fully hypnotize individuals in an instant.
“Every character feels vividly alive, and I found myself thoroughly engaged by the dialogue, which is exaggerated yet remains authentic! I also appreciate the evolution of characters who initially appear understated but gradually become closer. There are heartwarming touches throughout, and I even found myself laughing out loud at the humor. I’m genuinely delighted to be a part of this,” stated Chiba. “Simultaneously, as a proficient assassin who reminds Ōgami of his true calling, I aim to ensure that I can also portray the serious aspects of the narrative. His way of speaking is quite unique, and I’d like to breathe life into the quirky Kazuma in an enjoyable manner.”

Nakajima, who is credited for roles like Yuuta Maki in The Summer Hikaru Died, Yo Uei in Dr. Stone, and Oscar in Unnamed Memory, voices Eiji Rindou, Kazuma’s younger sibling and mission ally. A leading assassin in his own right, Eiji employs his exceptional physical prowess to uniquely use golf as a lethal weapon, positioning the duo as a significant threat to protagonist Jūzō Ōgami and his companions.
“Personally, I’m unsure I’d want to relive middle school, but seeing Jūzō enjoy his student life definitely makes me feel a touch envious,” Nakajima expressed. “The Rindou brothers show up as adversaries obstructing Jūzō’s path! What sort of combat style will Eiji exhibit, and what lines will he deliver…? I’m eagerly awaiting the recording sessions!”
