©Buronson&Tetsuo Hara/Coamix, HOKUTO CommitteeThe Fist of the North Star manga, created by Buronson and illustrated by Tetsuo Hara, was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 1983 to 1988. The narrative follows Kenshiro, a master of the Hokuto Shinken martial art who emerges as a savior in a post-apocalyptic setting ravaged by nuclear conflict.
In the 1980s, a two-season anime series was launched, now well-known for the iconic phrase, “You are already dead,” along with an anime film. Following that, a new series consisting of OVAs and movies was produced between 2006 and 2008 with five episodes.
