Destiny Unchain Online: How I became the Crimson Devil has been officially announced for a TV anime adaptation.
This announcement came alongside the launch of the anime’s official X (previously Twitter) account and a commemorative illustration created by manga artist Yachimoto, who is adapting the light novel into manga.
Crafted by resn, the series centers around middle school gamer Ko Mitsuki, a highly adept player recognized online as the “Head-Hunting Crimson.” After consenting to test a next-generation full-dive VR game created by his father, he is unexpectedly compelled to spend three months trapped inside the game due to a series of glitches.

To complicate things, Mitsuki is transformed into a vampire girl, unable to log out, and finds himself stranded in a remote forest at the game’s beginning. What starts as a catastrophic beta test gradually evolves into a fantasy adventure, with the protagonist ultimately earning the title of the “Crimson Demon Lord.”
The original novel is presently being serialized into a manga by Yachimoto on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket platform. The 13th collected volume of the manga was also released in Japan on August 7.
