Image source: @crazyraccoon406Japanese esports team Crazy Raccoon is the focus of two new manga co-created by OSHI NO KO‘s Aka Akasaka. The manga, CRBR -Crazy Raccoon Battle Royale- and Karubi, Momareru., commenced serialization on August 20 JST in Magazine Pocket and comic HOWL.
CRBR -Crazy Raccoon Battle Royale- follows a shut-in gamer who finds themselves in a battle royale after receiving a strange email from Crazy Raccoon. The featured Crazy Raccoon members include Daruma is God and Arisakaaa.
Akasaka and Crazy Raccoon share creator credits for this manga, while hiromono is credited with the storyboard composition. Ando (Mairimashita! Iruma–kun: if Episode of Mafia) serves as the artist.

Meanwhile, Karubi, Momareru centers on the titular VTuber Akami Karubi (who became part of Crazy Raccoon in September 2024) and is characterized as a “high calorie” and humorous comic about work. Akasaka shares creator credits with Shiromanta (My Senpai Is Annoying), while Karubi and Crazy Raccoon have draft cooperation credits. Shiromanta serves as the artist.
These new manga are not Akasaka’s first engagement with Crazy Raccoon. A few instances include the manga writer’s (who stepped away from drawing in 2022) involvement in the 4th Crazy Raccoon Cup Apex Legends tournament in 2021 and their participation in a Rust server co-organized by “gaming community facility” VaultRoom and Crazy Raccoon.
Akasaka is presently working on the ongoing Märchen Crown manga, which launched in March 2025.
