The manga was serialized in Hana to Yume from 1996 to 2004 and is compiled into 23 tankobon volumes and 12 aizoban volumes. It inspired a 2006 Taiwanese drama, two Japanese series in 2007 and 2011, and a 2012 Korean drama.
