. The previous season was directed by Kenichi Imaizumi (Kingdom Seasons 3 to 5 and After School Dice Club director), but before the show debuted, the credits were updated to name Lihua Wang/Reika Ou as the director and Imaizumi as the supervisor.<br />
Keiichiro Ochi and Takayuki Noguchi will reprise their roles as screenwriter and character designer, respectively, with N-Nei Kurahashi serving as sub-character designer. Project No.9 will handle animation production once again, similar to season one.<br />

The original light novel series was authored by Saekisan and illustrated by Hanekoto, starting from the second volume onward. It was first released on June 15, 2019 under SB Creative’s GA Bunko imprint. As of March 2025, eleven physical volumes and two short story compilations have been published. A third short story compilation is set to be published in Japan on September 13, 2025. Yen Press publishes the light novel series in English under its Yen On imprint.
A manga adaptation by Wan Shibata was launched in Square Enix’s Manga UP! application and website on January 6, 2022. As of March 2025, five tankobon volumes have been released. Square Enix Manga & Books has licensed the manga for English distribution.
