The eighth My Hero Academia season is scheduled for an October 2025 release; while a precise date has not been disclosed, episodes will premiere on Saturdays at 5:30 PM JST.
My Hero Academia is adapted from the Weekly Shonen Jump manga by Kohei Horikoshi, which was serialized from 2014 to 2024. Viz Media summarizes the My Hero Academia manga as:
Middle school student Izuku Midoriya aspires to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t an ounce of power within him. With no chance of enrolling in the prestigious U.A. High School for aspiring heroes, his life seems increasingly bleak. Then a meeting with All Might, the greatest hero of all, offers him a chance to alter his fate.
The TV anime debuted in 2016, with Season 7 commencing in May 2024. Additionally, there are four anime films, the most recent being 2024’s My Hero Academia The Movie: You’re Next.
