© Yukinobu Tatsu/SHUEISHA, DANDADAN Production Committee Two new short promotional videos have been released for the forthcoming second season of DAN DA DAN, previewing both the new opening and ending themes of the series. The second season is set to debut on Japanese television and Netflix on July 3, 2025. Crunchyroll will also start streaming season two this July, concurrent with its airing in Japan.
The new promotional videos showcase the opening theme “On The Way” by AiNA THE END and the ending theme “Doukashiteru” by WurtS.
Abel Gongora (who was the season 1 opening animation storyboard artist and director) is now joining season one director Fuga Yamashiro as co-director for the second season. Other team members include Hiroshi Seko (Chainsaw Man) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, Naoyuki Onda (MF Ghost, Inuyashiki) as character designer, Yoshimichi Kameda (Mob Psycho 100 character designer) as alien and yokai designer, Satoshi Hashimoto (Spy x Family Season 1) and Makiho Kondo (“Tokyo Clone” music video) as color designers, Junichi Higashi (Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2) as background art director, Kazuto Izumita (Great Pretender) as composting director, and Kensuke Ushio (Tengoku-Daimakyo, The Heike Story). Science SARU will handle the animation production.
They are joining the main voice cast for season two, which features:

A theatrical release of the first three episodes titled DAN DA DAN: EVIL EYE is being screened in North America prior to the season two premiere. GKIDS is presenting both the original Japanese version with English subtitles and the English dubbed version, starting June 6, 2025.
Season one of DAN DA DAN aired for 12 episodes during the Fall 2024 anime season. Crunchyroll and Netflix made the first season available for streaming worldwide, outside of Japan.
The anime is adapted from the sci-fi occult manga series by Yukinobu Tatsu, which launched on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ on April 6, 2021 and has released 19 tankobon volumes by April 2025. A 20th volume is expected to be available in Japan on July 4, 2025.
