©地主／SQUARE ENIX・「ヤニすう」製作委員会The official Twitter/X and website for the upcoming Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You TV anime adaptation has announced the two main cast members for the series. The anime is anticipated to premiere in Japan in 2026.
The anime’s main voice cast will feature Takuya Sato as Sasaki and Seena Hoshiki as Yamada / Tamaya. Their casting was revealed in a recently unveiled main cast promotional video.
A main staff and animation studio have yet to be disclosed. The TV anime adaptation was first announced earlier this past July.
Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You originated as a Twitter webcomic by Jinushi on March 9, 2022, before it received a serialization in Square Enix’s Big Gangan magazine on August 25, 2022. Seven physical tankobon volumes have been published as of July 2025.
