TMS Entertainment has unveiled a new trailer for BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai, with all 12 episodes of Part 2 debuting simultaneously on Netflix on Thursday, June 18. In conjunction with the trailer launch, TMS Ent. also revealed the artists for the opening and ending theme songs for Part 2, along with details about its official Anime Expo 2026 panel.
With the Part 2 premiere a little over two weeks away, this trailer establishes the atmosphere for the time-crossing battle to determine the strongest. Starting with scenes of Musashi Miyamoto defeating the fighters from Part 1, the trailer shifts to a glimpse of the upcoming conflicts in Part 2, featuring Miyamoto facing off against Pickle, Izo Motobe, Kaoru Hanayama, and Baki himself. As the combat intensifies beyond anything experienced in Baki before, the legendary swordsman readies himself to wage war against all of Japan.
Additionally, the artists for the opening and ending animations in BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai Part 2 have been announced. The opening will feature a track titled “MUSASHI” by Chevon. Expressing excitement about composing the opening, Chevon’s Mayu Yaginu stated, “I can’t hide the fact that my single favorite arc across the whole series is BAKI-DOU. Musashi Miyamoto vs. Izo Motobe. Grittier and more human than any fight I’d ever seen. It hit me hard — that this is what it looks like when a person’s resolve and inner world are made visible. It’s still my all-time best bout. No matter how many times I read it, it fires me up. And now, in the Reiwa era, Musashi moves again. And our humble band gets to lay music over the top of it.”
The ending track will be characterized by the song “KATANA” performed by J-Pop group J SOUL BROTHERS III. When discussing the song’s creation, group member Ryuji Imaichi noted, “We built this song around ‘the katana’ as a central theme. We were mindful of the tension of drawing a blade, weaving in the atmosphere of the moment two opponents face off, and even the sound of drawing the katana itself. We hope it’s a track that adds even more heat to the world of BAKI-DOU. All of us in the group are looking forward to the release.”
