Crunchyroll to Showcase 'Sekiro: No Defeat,' 'Dreamland,' 'Takopi's Original Sin' and 'Grave of the Fireflies' at Annecy

Anime powerhouse Crunchyroll has announced its agenda for this month’s Annecy Intl. Animation Festival (June 21-27), featuring a special Studio Focus dedicated to the company, hosted by exec VP of global commerce, Mitchel Berger. The presentation, scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, will showcase how Crunchyroll connects creators, partners, and fans to broaden anime’s impact and presence across the global animation scene.

Additional highlights include the world premiere of Sekiro: No Defeat, the eagerly awaited adaptation of the well-known video game. Grave of the Fireflies, the 1988 film directed by Isao Takahata at the esteemed Studio Ghibli, is set to be screened as part of Annecy Classics. This acclaimed work of Japanese animation will see a re-release in theaters in France and Germany this July. Furthermore, the Crunchyroll Anime Award-nominated series based on a manga, Takopi’s Original Sin, will participate in the official competition within the Television Films category.
