The artwork depicts the witch gazing up from a book while sitting on a stool, with her broom and bag close by. A teaser for the illustration highlights Elaina’s bare right foot, resting on the stool’s edge.
Additionally, the visual hints that “The journey continues… a new project is underway!”

What is clear is that there are plans to celebrate Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina‘s fifth anniversary, including a local rebroadcast of the series and a limited-time revival of the program The Radio of Elaina. A public recording event for this program will also take place.

Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina originally premiered during the Fall 2020 anime season. Based on the light novel series by Jogi Shiraishi, published by SB Creative and illustrated by Azure, it follows the main character as she encounters various people and situations during her global travels—a premise that echoes the earlier Kino’s Journey series, albeit with a witch theme.
Produced by C2C, the anime was directed by Toshiyuki Kubooka (Shangri-la Frontier, Harukana Receive) with character designs by Takeshi Oda (Otaku Elf). Kaede Hondo voiced Elaina, alongside notable cast members such as Kana Hanazawa as Elaina’s master Fran, and Tomoyo Kurosawa as Saya, a young witch who befriends Elaina and develops feelings for her. The series finale featured a brief appearance by a character voiced by Konomi Kohara, named Amnesia.

The light novel series is set to release its 25th volume on March 14, 2026 JST. It first launched in 2016 under the GA Novel label. There are also spin-offs, a manga, and an English version published by Yen Press.
