The recently announced personnel involved with the series include Michihiro Tsuchiya (ClassicaLoid, upcoming Akane-banashi anime) as series screenwriter, Konami Digital Entertainment’s Fumi Ishikawa as game character designer, Ryo Yamauchi (Please Put Them On, Takamine-san!) as anime character designer, Yoshikazu Iwanami (Psycho-Pass) as sound director, and Koji Nakamura (Eureka Seven AO) as music composer. Konami Digital Entertainment’s Arata Suzuki is acknowledged for the original drafts of the anime character designs for the series.
Yuto Sato (Hunter × Hunter: The Last Mission, Trillion Game) is helming Suikoden: The Anime, with KONAMI animation overseeing the animation production. NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan’s Ryo Hino also acts as the anime’s producer and production manager.
Suikoden II initially launched in 1998 for the PlayStation 1 and is the second installment in Konami’s Suikoden JRPG video game series. A remastered version of Suikoden and Suikoden II, titled Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars, was made available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Windows, Steam, and Epic Games Store on March 6, 2025.
