Trigun Stargaze Unveils Latest Visual, Teaser Trailer, New Cast, & January 2026 Premiere

The latest key visual, teaser trailer, and newest cast member have been unveiled for the upcoming Trigun Stargaze TV anime series, set to debut in January 2026.

Crunchyroll News provides the complete synopsis of Trigun Stargaze as:
Two and a half years have passed since the tragic Lost JuLai event, which devastated an entire city and plunged the planet into chaos. Meryl, now an experienced journalist, continues her quest for Vash with her new younger partner, Milly, and encounters Wolfwood along their journey. With plant robberies occurring again, they suspect that Millions Knives’s organization is working behind the scenes.
At the same time, Vash, under the name Eriks, has been living in seclusion in a remote town. His quiet life is interrupted by a visit from Jessica, a young girl with an urgent message from the third ship they called home. He resolves to end a long-standing conflict in order to protect those he cares about.
As elements of the story begin to converge, the planet receives an unexpected communication from deep space: “We are a fleet of colony ships from Earth… Those who wish may come with us to a new frontier.” The populace cheers this news, but soon, their celebration is overshadowed as the one-winged angel returns to unleash destruction and despair. Fateful encounters lead to a climactic resolution for the terrified planet.
Masako Sato (Haikyu!! To The Top) is helming the direction of the Trigun Stargaze anime series, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Flower and Asura) as series screenwriter, Koji Tajima (Trigun Stampede) serving as concept artist and original character designer, Kiyotaka Oshiyama (Look Back director and character designer, Trigun Stampede special effects designer) as character designer, and Takehiko Okishi (Trigun Stampede) contributing as story draft writer. Orange is responsible for the animation production of the series. 
Yasuhiro Nightow’s original Trigun manga series was serialized in Tokuma Shoten’s Monthly Shonen Captain magazine between 1995 and 1997, undergoing various irregular serializations and hiatuses. Three tankobon volumes were published by Tokuma Shoten, with two reprinted volumes from Shonengahosha. 
It was succeeded by Trigun: Maximum, serialized in Shonengahosha’s Young King Ours magazine from October 1997 to March 2007, culminating in fourteen tankobon volumes. 
Dark Horse Comics re-released both manga series in deluxe edition formats in 2024.

The manga inspired a prior 26-episode anime series adaptation that aired in 1998, along with the anime film Trigun: Badlands Rumble in 2010. Both were produced by Madhouse and directed by Satoshi Nishimura.

Vash the Stampede is a cheerful gunslinging pacifist, so why does he carry a $$6 million bounty on his head? That’s the mystery rookie journalist Meryl Stryfe and her seasoned partner are investigating. They expect to find a vigilante but encounter someone who detests blood. However, their inquiry leads them to discover something far more sinister—his malevolent twin brother, Millions Knives.
