The Monster Eater: Delicious in Dungeon board game is set to receive an official English release from publisher Yen Press. The game is expected to launch in May 2026.
Monster Eater: Delicious in Dungeon the Board Game was initially released in Japan in 2022 by Arclight Games, and has been made available in English through fan efforts. It draws upon the Monster Maker system created by Ginichiro Suzuki, which was first introduced in 1988 and received a remake in 2018. While Monster Eater: Delicious in Dungeon retains “board game” in its title even in the Japanese version, the original Monster Maker is categorized as a card game.
The game, which accommodates 2-5 players, invites participants to explore the dungeon of Delicious in Dungeon, taking control of either Laios’ party, Shiro’s party, Tansu’s party, Kabru’s party, or the Canaries. Each player’s turn comprises several phases: battle (where victory leads to the monsters literally being cooked, depending on dice rolls), exploration, encounters, and rest. A full game is anticipated to last approximately 45 minutes.
