Batten down the hatches and hoist the mizzenmast — The One Piece is setting sail to debut on Netflix in February, 2027! This brand-new anime series, produced by WIT Studio, will adapt the original manga from the very start of the East Blue saga.
The newly unveiled concept art depicts a scene in Windmill Village, the childhood home of the story’s protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy. The image captures Luffy having a lively time at Partys Bar, mingling with the visiting Red-Hair Pirates captain Shanks, first mate Benn Beckman, and the bar’s owner, Makino.
The visual illustrates Shanks smiling at Luffy’s limitless energy, while Makino’s expression and the bar’s inviting ambiance suggest the surprising kindness of the Red-Hair Pirates, despite their daunting reputation. It serves as a cherished glimpse of a moment in Windmill Village — the place where Luffy’s grand journey begins.
Season 1 of The One Piece will encompass roughly the first 50 chapters of the original manga, delivered in seven episodes, with a total runtime of about 300 minutes, culminating in Luffy’s encounter with Sanji, the sous chef of the floating restaurant Baratie.
