From original creator Akira Toriyama, the highly anticipated anime Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is confirmed to debut in Japan on Sunday, October 11. A brand-new āSuper Surgeā key visual and trailer featuring all-new footage has been released, showcasing the seriesā opening theme, āONOGAMIā by MEGATERAć»ZERO, and the ending theme, āKan Peki No Pekiā by VK Blanka.
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus marks an āENHANCED editionā that introduces a significant number of newly added and redrawn scenes, along with a restructured narrative. The production team promises state-of-the-art visuals, more immersive battle sequences, and a more faithful adaptation of Toriyamaās original manga.
The new visual features the God of Destruction Beerus smiling as he sets his gaze on Earth, while Goku stands defiantly against this formidable force. Following the reveal at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026, the artwork also includes Frieza and other new threats targeting Earth, suggesting an extensive expansion of the storyline.

The opening theme is āONOGAMIā by MEGATERAć»ZERO, a singer-songwriter known for their unique, powerful voice that has gained immense popularity online. The ending theme is āKan Peki No Pekiā by VK Blanka, a singer-songwriter celebrated for a distinctive, crystalline voice and fluid melodies, who is also marking their 10th anniversary this October. Snippets of both songs are included in the Super Surge trailer, enhancing the overall experience.

Ahead of its premiere in Japan, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will be featured at New York Comic Con 2026 (October 8ā11). An exclusive world-premiere advance screening of the very first episode will take place during the panel. The session will be hosted by Monica Rial (English dub voice of Bulma), along with guests Jason Douglas (English dub voice of Beerus) and Ian Sinclair (English dub voice of Whis) participating on stage.

Synopsis:Ā Years have gone by since the intense fight against Majin Buu, and Earth is finally experiencing a moment of peace. Even Kai and Supreme Kai, aware of Beerus’s incredible destructive capabilities, observe his awakening with great trepidation. Concurrently, Beerus hears tales of a Saiyan who conquered Frieza and unexpectedly confronts Goku.
With Beerus, the strongest being in the universe, targeting Earth, grave danger looms. Thus commences a colossal cosmic battle between the God of Destruction and Goku along with his alliesāa struggle that will reverberate throughout the universe.
