Luffy Wins 2nd One Piece Global Poll, Final Results for Top 30 Characters Unveiled

The second global popularity poll for ONE PIECE has released its final results, officially unveiling the top 30 characters. This announcement was made during the second day of ONE PIECE DAY ’26, where the characters ranked 31 through 100 were disclosed the previous day. Oda also created a special illustration of Luffy that was showcased at the event.

The popularity poll kicked off on March 4 as the second global character popularity poll, “WT100” (World Top 100). The inaugural poll took place in 2021 to celebrate the manga’s 1,000th chapter. This latest edition marks the first worldwide poll in nearly five years, launched in honor of the series reaching 600,000 million circulating copies. The midterm results were revealed in May, featuring Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji in the top 3.

Voting was available for 1,567 characters worldwide via the official WT100 website, the ONE PIECE BASE app, and physical ballots included in select print editions of Weekly Shonen Jump and Saikyo Jump. Regional weekly Top 5 rankings were shared every Monday since March 16.

Top-ranked characters will receive newly drawn illustrations by Oda and are anticipated to appear in anime, games, and merchandise.

The ONE PIECE manga by Eiichiro Oda began in July 1997, and the series surpassed 500 million circulating copies worldwide in August 2022. It also celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2022, while the anime adaptation premiered in October 1999 and continues to thrive.
