The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System, the GoHands-animated adaptation of the Kodansha Young Magazine manga series with over 5 million copies in circulation, has today released the key visual, main trailer, theme songs, and four new cast members for Part 2, which will continue streaming dubbed and subtitled on Crunchyroll this fall.
The new key visual (shown above) showcases the characters central to the Part 2 narrative: Elymas stands prominently, sword drawn and determination apparent on his face, with Ruche, who has become braver through their shared experiences, beside him. Surrounding them are the four adventurers who will energize the new arc: Carlos, calm and enigmatic; Hilde, keenly inquisitive; Kelt, bow at the ready; and Maebel, quietly steadfast. New characters, fresh alliances, and a new journey lie ahead.
The Part 2 preview video opens after the intense battle with Malice, as Elymas and Ruche enter Lacoryna, the adventurers’ city. Accompanied by “Contemporary Dance,” the Part 2 ending theme performed by PompadollS, the video rapidly introduces the new characters while showcasing fast-paced action from Elymas and Ruche, filmed through GoHands’ dynamic camerawork. In the latter half, Elymas activates and the music shifts to “Rewrite the Answer,” the new opening song by Tokoyami Towa, leading to an exhilarating display of both the Heavy Knight’s power and Ruche’s own against formidable new foes.

PompadollS, a rock band based in Tokyo, was formed in January 2024 by Goju Igarashi (Vo./Gt.), Rentaro Aoki (Gt.), and Kaoru Tajima (Pf.). Their hit song “Akushoku (Gluttony)” has surpassed 10 million plays on TikTok and reached No. 1 on Spotify’s Viral chart in Japan and No. 4 in South Korea. Their June 2026 concert at Zepp Shinjuku sold out on the same day, and their May 2026 show in Seoul sold out in just one minute. They have a national tour planned, including a stop at Zepp DiverCity in November 2027.

The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System is based on the original manga by Nekoko, Brocco Lee, and Jaian. The anime series is creatively directed by general director Shingo Suzuki, director Katsumasa Yokomine, character designers Keiji Tani and Takayuki Uchida, chief animation directors Tani and Makoto Furuta, chief director Tetsuichi Yamagishi, main animator Hiroshi Okubo, with music composed by Ludvig Forssell.
SHOCHIKU anime is leading the production of the project, while the animation is being produced by GoHands in Osaka. The key team has previously collaborated on GoHands projects such as Momentary Lily, The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today, Coppelion, and K.
The newly introduced voice actors join Takeo Otsuka as Elymas Edvaughn, Shion Wakayama as Ruche Luvis, and Natsuko Abe as Malice Edvaughn.
Synopsis: The “Heavy Knight” is a defense-oriented class that attracts enemy attacks to safeguard allies. However, even among defensive classes, its skills lack versatility, and its offensive strength is insufficient for proper leveling. Consequently, it has been labeled not just as a “disadvantaged” class but a completely “defective” one.
Born into House Edvaughn, a lineage renowned for Master Swordsmen for generations, Elymas manifested the “defective” Heavy Knight class during the Baptisma — a pivotal ritual for the heir — and was stripped of his title as next head of the house and wrongfully exiled.
