The film is set to debut in other Japanese theaters on September 19, 2025.
The central plot of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is articulated as:
Denji has become “Chainsaw Man”, a boy with a devil’s heart, now part of Special Division 4’s devil hunters. Following a date with Makima, the woman of his dreams, Denji takes refuge from the rain. There, he encounters Reze, a girl employed in a café.

The first part of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga series was published from December 3, 2018 to December 14, 2020 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. The ongoing second part began serialization on the Shonen Jump+ app and website on July 13, 2022. A total of twenty-two tankobon volumes have been released as of September 2025.
Viz Media publishes the Chainsaw Man manga in English for North America, presenting the main synopsis as:
Denji is a young man in financial distress who will do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil Pochita. He has straightforward dreams, yet is overwhelmed by debt. One fateful day, his life shifts dramatically when he is betrayed by someone he trusts. Now empowered by a devil within him, Denji transforms into a new entity — Chainsaw Man!
