Uniqlo is set to launch a fresh Ghibli UT collection this year, featuring designs from 2023’s The Boy and the Heron.

This collection prominently showcases the artistic contributions of Thai photographer Kanyada Phatan, who plays a significant role by providing photographs and poems for the Ghibli-published booklet Neppu and has co-writing credits on works such as The Tale of Ghibli Museum and Words of Wisdom I Heard from Ghibli’s Suzuki About Work. Phatan has been identified as a long-time associate of Studio Ghibli’s producer Toshio Suzuki, participating in events like the signing and discussion at 2022’s “Animage to Ghibli-ten” and creating the exhibition’s Catbus imagery.

Besides Mens’ and children’s shirts, the collection features five unisex sweatshirts, each priced at US$39.90, along with three kids’ sweatshirts available for US$29.90.

As noted by Catsuka, the French site for the collection also includes limited edition T-shirts inspired by 2016’s Japanese-European co-production The Red Turtle, directed by Dutch animator Michaël Dudok de Wit.
