A new season of the DAN DAN DAN anime adaptation has been officially revealed.

The second season concluded during the Summer 2025 anime season, while the first season was broadcast during the Fall 2024 anime season.

DAN DA DAN is inspired by the Shueisha-published sci-fi occult manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, which launched on Shonen Jump+ in 2021 and currently has 20 volumes as of July 2025. Viz Media characterizes the manga as:
Momo Ayase develops an odd friendship with her school’s UFO enthusiast, whom she calls “Okarun” due to his name being inappropriate to say aloud. While Momo is convinced of the existence of spirits, she dismisses aliens as mere fantasy. Her new acquaintance, on the other hand, holds a completely opposing view. To resolve their differences, the two embark on a mission to disprove one another—Momo visiting a UFO hotspot and Okarun heading to a haunted tunnel! What ensues is a touching tale of young romance…and surprisingly risqué aliens and spirits?
