Hanashi Media has revealed its new acquisition of the fantasy light novel series The Abandoned Reincarnation Sage: Building a Mighty Empire of Monsters Within the Monsters’ Forest.
The organization confirmed on its Twitter/X profile that additional new licenses will be unveiled in the future.
This fantasy light novel series is authored by Miraijin A and features illustrations by Kikkaiki. Initially, it was self-published as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro, later being taken up for publication by Micro Magazine’s GC Novels imprint on December 26, 2019. As of November 2023, five volumes have been issued.

A manga adaptation by Kurikaramaru commenced in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app on June 28, 2020, concluding on May 8, 2022. A total of eight tankobon volumes were published. The manga was made available digitally in English on the K MANGA app across select regions.

At the conclusion of a long existence filled with influence and dignity, a man previously acknowledged as the Sage executed a reincarnation spell, yearning for nothing more than a tranquil life in a new time. However, upon awakening in an era where magic holds little value, he is discarded as worthless and forsaken in the Forest of Monsters… as an infant.
Abandoned to perish, he is astonishingly rescued by a compassionate goblin who nurtures him as her own. Given the name Belamus, the former Sage matures in a monster village, far removed from the human world that has spurned him.
