©Shou Makura・Takeshi Okano/SHUEISHA・Domori Elementary School AlumniREMOW has announced a fresh key visual, trailer, and main theme songs for the upcoming Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube TV anime series. The series is set to commence its broadcast in Japan on July 2, 2025, and will be aired over two split cours.
The new visual showcases the main character Meisuke “Nube” Nueno facing off against his archenemy, Tamamo.
REMOW has also announced its first industry panel at Anime Expo 2025, showcasing the U.S. premiere of Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube, along with other anime titles from the company. The panel is scheduled in room 403AB on July 5, 2025, from 10:30 AM PST to 11:50 PM PST, and attendees can look forward to special giveaways.
Additionally, a manga series titled Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube PLUS is expected to be published starting June 11, 2025, on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service. The company describes the manga as featuring “the untold stories of the ‘+’ episodes that took place in Domori Town when Hiroshi Tateno, Kyoko Inaba, and the other students were in Class 5-3, at Domori Elementary School.”
This anime adaptation draws inspiration from the Jigoku Sensei Nube manga series, crafted by Sho Makura and illustrated by Takeshi Okano. It originally serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from August 24, 1993, until May 11, 1999. Subsequent works included Jigoku Sensei Nube NEO, Jigoku Sensei Nube S, alongside spin-offs Reibaishi Izuna and Reibaishi Izuna: Ascension. A new manga titled Jigoku Sensei Nube Kai debuted in Saikyo Jump on May 2, 2025.
Previously, a TV anime produced by Toei Douga (now Toei Animation) aired between 1996 and 1997, and the manga inspired a 10-episode live-action drama in 2014.
REMOW presents the main synopsis of Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube, via press release, as:
The town of Domori is experiencing a series of unusual occurrences. To safeguard the children, a new homeroom teacher named Nube arrives.
Although generally calm and somewhat approachable, Nube harbors a secret: he is Japan’s sole psychic instructor. It is said that a demon possesses his left hand.
The bearer of Hell’s justice is here to confront the school’s seven mysteries, ghosts, and malevolent spirits targeting his students. This tale of the occult begins now!
