The upcoming Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 fighting game has unveiled a new trailer showcasing the sequel’s new features alongside story mode footage.

The most eye-catching addition is Dual Ultimates, which can be activated through specific character combinations — the trailer previews Tanjiro Kamado and Kyojuro Rengoku unleashing a surge of flames with a synchronized slash of their blades.

For players seeking more than just Story Mode and VS Mode, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will offer the chance to challenge the Hashira in Training Paths, where “players will progress through a sequence of tournament brackets with changing victory conditions that keep every tournament round exciting and engaging.”

In addition to these, there will be a second Ultimate Art for some characters, equipable items that provide bonuses such as poison resistance and health regeneration in both Story Mode and VS Mode, and a mode called The Path of a Demon Slayer that allows players to experience “key battles from the Unwavering Resolve Arc up to the Mugen Train Arc” to recall the storyline from the first game.
