HIDIVE Unveils New ‘Reincarnated as a Sword’ Season 2 Trailer

The beloved isekai anime Reincarnated as a Sword is back for its second season on AMC Global Media’s HIDIVE as part of its Fall 2026 Simulcast Season. Ahead of its premiere, HIDIVE has unveiled the series’ official English subtitled trailer on YouTube.

Season 2 will be available for streaming exclusively on HIDIVE and accessible to subscribers in the U.S. and Canada, as well as in significant overseas markets like the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

As previously shared, HIDIVE will showcase the North American debut of Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 on Saturday, August 22 during Anime NYC 2026. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with special guests, director Shinji Ishihira and producers Yosuke Shimada and Genta Ozaki.

Synopsis: A nameless sword awakens to find he has been reincarnated from his previous life as a human. With the ability to use telekinesis, he navigates this new world, gaining various skills and powers. When he encounters a forest filled with monsters, he crosses paths with a young girl escaping from a beast. Seizing the sword, the girl quickly defeats the creature. Introducing herself as Fran, she names the sword “Shishou” and officially becomes his wielder.

Together, they embark on a journey to become adventurers, but Fran faces challenges as a member of the Black Cat Tribe — a Beastkin group with a notorious reputation. No member of this tribe has ever evolved into a more powerful beast, but Fran aims to be the first, fulfilling her parents’ dreams. As Shishou vows to remain her sword until she achieves her goal, they create an unstoppable alliance of remarkable strength.
