AMC Networks’ HIDIVE shared today that the new sci-fi drama anime series Dusk Beyond the End of the World, which is the official English title for Towa no Yuugure, will exclusively stream as part of the anime streaming service’s Fall 2025 simulcast season. This unique anime is set in a future where technology has reshaped society. Viewers will embark on a journey through this unfamiliar world with every new episode, uncovering the existence of love and relationships that now bridge humans and androids.
HIDIVE also launched the official English subtitled trailer for the upcoming series (see it below) and announced that, prior to the series’ premiere, it will present the world premiere of Dusk Beyond the End of the World Episodes 1 & 2 on Sunday, August 24 at the Javits Center in New York City as part of the streamer’s Anime NYC 2025 lineup.

Synopsis: The world is on the brink of transitioning from an outdated society to a new era, influenced by issues like gender, race, and compliance, alongside technological advancements such as a developing AI. Even within this landscape where distinctions become blurred, we believe “love” will always manifest in various forms, not solely between individuals. This includes affection between humans and robots and its unique expressions. The depth of these feelings will be depicted in ways that are sometimes beautiful, occasionally harsh, and at times humorous. How long can this love survive? When a robot outlives its human partner, can their bond endure?
Dusk Beyond the End of the World, or Towa no Yuugure, is produced by P.A.Works, with direction and series composition by Naokatsu Tsuda (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure), character drafting by Aoi Tayama, character design by Yoshiko Saito, and music by Masahiro Tokuda. The cast features Shūichirō Umeda as Akira, Yui Ishikawa as Yuugure, and Ai Kayano as Towasa.
The World Premiere at Anime NYC is scheduled for Sunday, August 24 at 3:30 p.m. in Room 1A12 of the Javits Center.
