After more than half-a-decade, the Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- TV anime is set to return on October 1 with its second season, Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- 2. Ahead of next week’s premiere, a main trailer for the sequel anime has been released.
Various characters, including Asaki Yuikawa‘s Takecho, make an appearance in the trailer. The Nao Toyama opening and ending songs, “Toryanse” and “Namida no Recipe,” are also featured.
Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- is based on the KADOKAWA-published light novel series written by Midori Yuma and illustrated by Laruha, which is published under the Fujimi L Bunko label and ran from 2015 to 2022 with 12 volumes. Crunchyroll describes the 2018 first anime season as such:
After losing her grandfather, Aoi—a girl who can see spirits known as ayakashi—is suddenly approached by an ogre. Demanding she pay her grandfather’s debt, he makes a huge request: her hand in marriage! Refusing this absurd offer, Aoi decides to work at the Tenjin-ya bed and breakfast for the ayakashi to pay back what her family owes.
