Japanese boy band JO1’s short anime series JOCHUM is set to receive a second season launching on October 4, 2025. The new season will continue to air brief 1-minute episodes on Fuji TV’s Mezamashi Doyоbi educational program.
Hazumu Sakuta (Sumikko Gurashi Sorairo no Mainichi) is at the helm for the second season, having also directed the first, while Yoichi Kato (Aikatsu, Yokai Watch) returns as both screenwriter and scriptwriter. FANWORKS is once again handling the animation production.
The lead voice cast for JOCHUM features:

- • Mahana Yamasaki as Moco
- • Kanon Amane as Ruru
- • Yudai Mino as Bira
The short anime is also available with English subtitles on the series’ official YouTube channel.
The JOCHUM series showcases 11 characters, each representing a member of JO1 alongside a corresponding Sanrio mascot. Among them are PiHai the black fox (Sukai Kinjo), Rain the blue fox (Ren Kawashiri), Micoon the microphone (Junki Kono), Chimata the rabbit (Syoya Kimata), Yanukami the dragon (Sho Yonashiro), Mamechi the corgi (Issei Mamehara), Pop-poh the penguin (Takumi Kawanishi), Chulala the chihuahua (Shion Tsurubo), Moco the angel (Shohei Ohira), Ruru the white dog (Ruki Shiroiwa), and Bira the sunflower (Keigo Sato).

<p>JO1 was originally formed during the airing of Lapone Entertainment’s Produce 101 Japan reality series in 2019. The group made their debut in 2020 and collaborated with Sanrio to develop the JOCHUM characters in 2022. </p><div class='code-block code-block-1' style='margin: 8px 0; clear: both;'>
