The second season of Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits, announced last April, has received several updates, including its official Japanese title (Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Ni, where “Ni” denotes “2”) along with character images featuring Aoi Tsubaki, Odanna, and Ginji.

The new Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits season is set to premiere in the Fall 2025 anime season. It is adapted from the light novel series published by KADOKAWA, written by Midori Yuma and illustrated by Laruha, which aired from 2015 to 2022, comprising 12 volumes. Crunchyroll describes the initial 2018 anime season as follows:
After experiencing the loss of her grandfather, Aoi—a girl possessing the ability to see spirits referred to as ayakashi—is unexpectedly approached by an ogre. Demanding repayment of her grandfather’s debt, he presents a remarkable ultimatum: her hand in marriage! Rejecting this outrageous proposal, Aoi resolves to work at the Tenjin-ya bed and breakfast for the ayakashi to settle her family’s obligations.
The light novels have led to the creation of two manga adaptations, the first by KADOKAWA and the second by Kodansha, with Viz Media handling the licensing for the former.
