Let’s Go Karaoke! Adds 4 More New Cast Members

The official Twitter/X account for the ongoing Let’s Go Karaoke! TV anime series has announced the addition of four more new cast members. The anime series initially premiered in Japan on July 24, 2025.
The four additional cast will portray yakuza characters in the show and will feature in the fourth episode, scheduled to air on August 14, 2025. They include:

  • • Taichi Takeda as Sake Allergy
  • • Shohei Kajikawa as Former No. 4
  • • Takumu Miyazono as Nakibokuro
  • • Soungdok as Gura-san

They join a main voice cast that features Shun Horie as Satomi Oka, Daisuke Ono as Kyoji Narita, and Shinnosuke Tokudome as Wada.
Asami Nakatani (Yohane the Parhelion: Sunshine in the Mirage) is at the helm of the Let’s Go Karaoke! anime adaptation, while Yoshimi Narita (Twilight Out of Focus, Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie) serves as the screenwriter. Yukiko Tsukahara (Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Episode 9 co-director) takes the role of assistant director, Mai Matsuura (The Stories of Girls Who Couldn’t Be Magicians, King of Prism by Pretty Rhythm) is the character designer, and Takuro Iga (OSHI NO KO) is composing the music. Doga Kobo is in charge of the animation production.
The same team is also involved in the Captivated, by You anime adaptation, which is set to premiere in Japan on August 21, 2025.
Let’s Go Karaoke! and Captivated, by You are both single-volume manga titles by Yama Wayama. They were released under Enterbrain’s Beam Comics imprint after initially appearing as doujin works. Yen Press publishes both manga in English for North America.
Let’s Go Karaoke! began as a doujin on August 25, 2019, and was subsequently released by Enterbrain on September 12, 2020. It spawned a one-shot manga sequel in November 2020 and inspired a live-action film in January 2024.
