REMOW Co., Ltd. has unveiled a new teaser visual showcasing the five main characters from the anticipated anime adaptation of Psyren, a psychic battle action series based on the manga by Toshiaki Iwashiro (initially serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2008 to 2010).
The comic series has garnered three nominations for the “Manga We Want to See Animated Ranking” and continues to have a robust fanbase even 15 years post-publication. The forthcoming anime, crafted by Satelight (Aquarion, Symphogear), is slated to debut in October 2026, fully adapting the manga narrative to its finale.

Synopsis: One fateful day, high schooler Ageha Yoshina discovers a strange “red phone card” abandoned in a public phone booth. Days later, his childhood friend and classmate, Sakurako Amamiya — who also had the same card — mysteriously disappears.

In pursuit of her, Ageha becomes entangled in the whispers of a nationwide series of enigmatic abductions, rumored to be orchestrated by a clandestine organization known solely as “Psyren.” When he delves into the group’s activities, a perilous challenge begins — one that will irrevocably alter his destiny.

Ageha Yoshina (voiced by Rikuya Yasuda)
A first-year student at Shirataki High School. After losing his mother in childhood and with his father frequently away for work, Ageha resides with his older sister, Fubuki.
Quick to act, he possesses a robust sense of justice and cannot overlook those in distress. His unwavering loyalty to friends and family propels him onward. His life takes a turn upon discovering a mysterious “red phone card,” leading him into a lethal game.

Sakurako Amamiya (voiced by Mayuko Kazama)
A first-year student at Shirataki High School and Ageha’s childhood companion. Previously lively and well-liked, she presently keeps others at arm’s length, earning the title “Ice Queen.”
One day, she abruptly disappears without a trace.
Hiryu Asaga (voiced by Shunsuke Takeuchi)
A first-year student at Chikuwa High School. Nicknamed “Dragon,” Hiryu is characterized by his formidable physique and astonishing strength. Despite his fierce look, he is thoughtful and careful, always weighing his decisions.
He is on a quest to locate his missing junior, Tatsuo.
Oboro Mochizuki (voiced by Soma Saito)
A 21-year-old aspiring actor who has a passion for melon bread. Hidden beneath his affable and friendly demeanor is a thrill-seeker eager for adventure and unpredictability.
He willingly puts himself in peril if it leads to a remarkable experience.
Kabuto Kirisaki (voiced by Yukihiro Nozuyama)
A laid-back 19-year-old who enjoys money — and the company of girls.
Without a steady job, Kabuto is perpetually on the lookout for the easiest path through life. His uncle is a journalist.
Psyren is helmed by Katsumi Ono (Symphogear), with series composition managed by Shin Yoshida (Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise), character design by Akira Okuma, and music composed by Takashi Ohmama, Tatsuhiko Saiki, and Shu Kanematsu.
