Samuel Sattin and artist tokitokoro have officially debuted their new manga series LYNX under VIZ Originals, with Volume 1 coming out on August 11.
Marketed as a neo-tech mystery thriller, LYNX centers on bio-enhanced detective Lynx Takuma as she navigates New Borealis, one of the last remaining habitable cities after a global climate catastrophe. Sattin, known for previous works like UNICO: AWAKENING and the Eisner Award-nominated Buzzing, is the writer of the series, while tokitokoro, a Tokyo-based manga artist and illustrator, provides the artwork.

Sattin was recognized with an Eisner Award nomination in 2024 for Buzzing. He is also the writer behind the UNICO series alongside the Japanese artist duo Gurihiru, which adapts and extends Osamu Tezuka’s unfinished narrative. Additional credits include A Kid’s Guide to Anime & Manga and The Essential Anime Guide.
Tokitokoro is a manga artist and illustrator located in Tokyo. Their debut one-shot, For a Good Man, was released via Shonen Jump+, while more recent projects encompass Nothing Butt Nightwing for DC Comics and Jeff the Land Shark for Marvel.
